The weather will be very cooperative, in the low 60 degree temperatures, on January 1st for the annual Polar Bear Dip at Flora Bama located on the Alabama and Florida border.
This will be the 25th year for this popular event scheduled for noon on New Year's day. Activities include live music and of course special drinks to celebrate the New Year. Locals and many visitors plan their holidays to include attending this fun day. Recently the Southeast Tourism Society included the Polar Bear Dip in their Top 20 winter 2009 events.
