Extreme Volleyball Comes to the Beach in Gulf Shores


Two Extreme Volleyball Professionals (EVP) events are scheduled for this weekend (May 16 & 17) at the Gulf Shores Public Beach. Veteran tour players Mark Paaluhi, Carrie Wright, Kelly Hickam and Mike Dauernheim will compete on Saturday. Won't that be a treat to watch? Then Sunday at 10:00 a.m. the EVP Amateur and Coed Tour begins for athletes ages 12 and up in both female and male competitions.

According to Beth Gendler from the Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission this regional event will be the only time that the EVP Amateur and Coed Tour stops in the Southeast.

Tomorrow evening (Friday, May 15) there will be a meet the players & welcome party at The Hangout and again on Sunday the post-party awards ceremony will be held at this convenient venue.

All events are FREE to the public. If you wish to purchase a $29 VIP ticket you will receive an hour-long clinic with the professionals, lunch, volleyball games with a professional as coach, priority courtside seating for the finals, a picture with the championship team and an official EVP Tour T-Shirt.
