Head to the Gulf Shores area for Father's Day weekend for a family-oriented treat at the 5th Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival (June 19-21) on Hwy. 98 in Foley. Forty hot air balloon pilots from around the southeast will fly high at dawn and dusk each day (weather permitting)to the delight of onlookers. The pilots will also provide a spectacular evening glow and limited tethered hot air balloon rides for lucky participants.
Great musical entertainment includes the Tip Tops on Friday evening and Cheyenne on Saturday evening. Back by popular demand are the performing dogs of Disc-Connected K9s - World Famous Frisbee Dogs and entertainment at the Children's Village. The Hot Air Balloon festival is FREE but opportunity exists to purchase unique souvenirs, tasty festival foods and creative arts and crafts.
